About the role
Responsibilities:
- Both our apps, the Owner App (for prop house owners) and the User App (for art directors/set designers), are built in React Native.
- End-to-end feature development: from spec to shipped release on both iOS and Android.
- In-app purchase and subscription integration (RevenueCat), including handling platform-specific quirks on both stores.
- App Store / Play Store submission process screenshots, binaries, and resolving review rejections.
- UI bug fixes and polish based on real user feedback post-launch.
- Working directly from written specs (plain-English PRDs, no jargon-heavy handoffs), you'll often be the one clarifying and shaping the "how" from a clear "what. "
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of hands-on React Native experience.
- At least one app you've shipped to production on both the App Store and Play Store (not just built, actually submitted, and dealt with the review process).
- Comfortable working independently: this is a 2-person dev team, not a large engineering org with layers of process.
- Can explain your past work and technical decisions in plain language. You'll be working with a non-technical founder, so clear communication matters as much as clean code.
Nice to have:
- Experience with in-app purchase/subscription flows (RevenueCat, StoreKit, Play Billing).
- Familiarity with Supabase or a similar Postgres-based backend.
