Position: Refractory Engineer
Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience as a refractory engineer
Qualification: BE/BTech/Diploma in Ceramic, Civil, or Equivalent
Roles and responsibilities
Carry out regular reliability surveys for monitoring the health of refractory lining.
Carry out inspection of refractory lining during shut-down and release observations and recommendations.
Monitor all day-to-day refractory activities and ensure that the job is in compliance with the standards, specifications, and procedures.
Ensure close monitoring of quality check points and safety aspects, along with timely completion.
Finish the required inputs for generating MIS on the summary of refractory activities.
Preparation of Refractory Inspection and Maintenance (SMP's and SIP's)
Ensure compliance with MIQA requirements.
Ensure adherence to the heat-up and dry-out schedule for a particular piece of equipment.
Visual inspection of refractories material receipts at stores and timely clearing of GRN's
Provide the necessary inputs for reliability studies as identified.
Ensure proper data entry in SAP-PM to adhere to its compliance.
Ensure safe execution of refractory jobs and adherence to the schedules.
Validation of contractor manpower for ARC jobs and shutdown activities.
Extend the necessary support to O & M during commissioning and plant start-up.
Active participation in failure analysis of refractory lining.
Safe Execution of Refractory Jobs During the Shutdown.
Compliance with CSM for Refractory Contract Workmen.
