Grant Thornton Bharat LLP is looking for a GIS and Remote Sensing Expert for a Project in Bhopal.
Qualification and experience
- Post Graduate Degree in Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing/ Spatial Information Technology/ Geomatics/equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience as working on similar projects (i.e. use of remote sensing & GIS technology in urban sector projects.)
- Knowledge of major GIS software products, GPS, total station, coordination reference systems, satellite remote sensing technology and GIS applications.
Job Description
- Data Collection & Analysis: Collect, process, and analyze spatial data from a variety of sources, including satellite imagery, aerial photography, and sensor data.
- GIS Mapping & Visualization: Interpretation of Satellite Imageries and Preparation of base map, Create and maintain detailed GIS maps, models, and visualizations to represent spatial information for decision-making purposes.
- Remote Sensing Analysis: Utilize remote sensing tools and techniques (e.g., satellite imagery, drones, LiDAR) to analyze environmental, agricultural, or urban data.
- Geospatial Data Management: Organize, clean, and store geospatial data in databases and ensure data integrity, quality, and accessibility.
- Software & Tools: Use GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and remote sensing tools (e.g., ERDAS, ENVI) to manipulate, analyze, and display geospatial data.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare technical reports, presentations, and maps that clearly convey analysis results and insights for internal and external stakeholders.
