SAP ABAP Consultant

Aevitas IT is looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with strong expertise in S/4HANA and ABAP on HANA to join our growing SAP delivery team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in ABAP development across implementation, rollout, migration, and support projects. This is a remote role based in India, offering the opportunity to work on global SAP S/4HANA projects.

• Design, develop, and enhance SAP ABAP solutions including Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF objects)

• Develop and optimize ABAP on HANA objects with performance-focused coding standards

• Create and manage CDS Views, AMDP, and OData services for S/4HANA applications

• Work closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Develop and maintain SmartForms and Adobe Forms

• Support S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, migrations, and production support activities

• Perform code optimization, debugging, unit testing, and performance tuning

• Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, coding standards, and documentation

• Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams in a global delivery environment

• Handle change requests, defect fixes, and continuous improvements independently in a remote setup

• 8 to 14 years of strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development

• Mandatory experience working on SAP S/4HANA projects

• Strong expertise in:

  • Classical ABAP & Object-Oriented ABAP

  • ABAP on HANA

  • CDS Views, AMDP, and OData services

  • Enhancements: User Exits, BADIs, Enhancements Framework

  • Interfaces: IDocs, RFC, BAPI, Proxy, File-based integrations

  • Forms: SmartForms and Adobe Forms

• Good understanding of S/4HANA data models and simplification concepts

• Ability to analyze technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

• Hands-on experience in end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation projects

• Exposure to SAP Fiori, UI5, and REST-based integrations

• Experience with SAP Migration Cockpit or data migration tools

• Knowledge of SAP best practices, performance tuning, and code push-down techniques
