SAP Basis & Cybersecurity Consultant (Contract Position - 3 Months)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis & Cybersecurity Consultant to support SAP landscape security operations, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity remediation activities. The consultant will be responsible for identifying and mitigating security risks across SAP systems, implementing SAP security recommendations, managing certificates, supporting firewall-related activities, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform SAP vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
· Manage and remediate vulnerabilities identified through Qualys Vulnerability Management and other security assessment tools.
· Analyze, evaluate, and implement SAP OSS Notes related to security and cybersecurity compliance.
· Execute SAP security patching activities and ensure timely risk remediation.
· Manage SAP SSL, PSE, and digital certificates, including renewals and troubleshooting.
· Coordinate with infrastructure and network teams to resolve firewall and port-related connectivity issues impacting SAP systems.
· Support cybersecurity audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
· Identify and address SAP security risks and vulnerabilities across SAP landscapes.
· Prepare technical documentation and provide recommendations for security hardening.
· Participate in incident investigations involving SAP security-related events.
· Work closely with Basis, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Application teams to ensure secure SAP operations.
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory Skills
· 3-8 years of SAP Basis administration experience.
· Strong hands-on experience in SAP Cybersecurity Risk Remediation.
· Experience with Qualys Vulnerability Management and vulnerability remediation processes.
· Strong knowledge of SAP OSS Note implementation, especially security-related notes.
· Expertise in Certificate Management (SSL, PSE, SSO certificates, renewals, troubleshooting).
· Experience troubleshooting Firewall and Port Connectivity Issues.
· Knowledge of SAP system security hardening and security best practices.
· Understanding of SAP architecture, transport, patching, upgrades, and system maintenance.
Preferred Skills
· Experience with SAP PSAT (Path lock SAP Assessment Tool) / SAP Security Assessment activities.
· Good understanding of SAP Web Dispatcher administration and security configurations.
· Experience supporting OpenText environments integrated with SAP.
· Knowledge of SAP Focused Run / Focus Run monitoring and administration.
· Exposure to SAP Solution Manager security and monitoring capabilities.
· Familiarity with cybersecurity governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
