SAP FICO Manager

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Manager with strong expertise in SAP Finance (FI) and good working knowledge of Controlling (CO). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering SAP Finance solutions across multiple End-to-End implementations and will be responsible for solution design, implementation, stakeholder management, and delivery leadership. The role requires a Finance-focused SAP professional, with approximately 80% expertise in FI and 20% in CO, rather than a candidate whose primary specialisation is Controlling.

Responsibilities:

• Lead SAP Finance functional activities across implementation, rollout, transformation, enhancement, and support projects.
• Own solution design and delivery for core SAP FI processes.
• Conduct business requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Provide functional leadership across the following SAP Finance areas:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Asset Accounting (AA)
• Bank Accounting
• Taxation
• Intercompany Accounting
• Financial Closing
• Financial Reporting
• Foreign Currency Valuation
• Document Splitting
• New GL / S/4HANA Finance
• Ensure integration of SAP Finance with other modules such as MM, SD, CO, PS, and external systems.
• Provide functional oversight for SAP CO processes, including:
• Cost Centre Accounting
• Profit Centre Accounting
• Internal Orders
• Product Costing
• Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
• Lead and participate in E2E implementation activities, including blueprinting, realisation, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
• Drive functional solutioning and guide technical teams for enhancements, interfaces, reports, conversions, and forms.
• Review functional specifications and ensure solutions align with business requirements and SAP best practices.
• Lead testing activities including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Support data migration, reconciliation, cutover planning, and financial validation.
• Manage complex production issues and provide root-cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
• Engage with business stakeholders, process owners, IT teams, and senior management to drive successful delivery.
• Mentor and guide SAP FI/CO consultants and contribute to capability development.
• Support project planning, estimation, risk management, and delivery governance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and SAP Finance transformation initiatives.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of SAP FICO experience with a strong emphasis on SAP FI.
• Minimum of 2 End-to-End SAP implementation experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP FI configuration and solution design.
• Good working knowledge of SAP CO processes.
• Strong understanding of FI integration with MM, SD, CO, and other SAP modules.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting and statutory/business reporting requirements.
• Experience in requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience leading functional teams and managing delivery across complex SAP programs.

Preferred Skills:

• SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation experience.
• Experience with Universal Journal / ACDOCA.
• Experience with Fiori-based Finance processes.
• Knowledge of Central Finance is an advantage.
• Experience with SAP Finance integration with third-party banking, tax, reporting, or payment systems.
• SAP FI/CO certification is preferred.
• Experience working in global/multi-country SAP implementations is an advantage.
