SAP MDG SME
Role Overview
Experienced SAP MDG SME responsible for master data governance, solution assessment, data quality, root-cause analysis, testing, and implementation support.
Key Responsibilities
- Review MDG solution designs and business requirements against SAP standard capabilities and existing configurations.
- Recommend SAP standard functionality before custom solutions are considered.
- Review MDG workflows, validations, business rules, status management, and master data processes.
- Support root-cause analysis for issues related to configuration, master data, integrations, and legacy processes.
- Perform functional gap analysis and assess impacts, dependencies, and risks.
- Support data quality, cleansing, validation, enrichment, and governance activities.
- Prepare test scenarios, test cases, validation criteria, and cutover recommendations.
- Support SIT/UAT, defect resolution, and functional validation.
- Collaborate with business, data, SAP functional, and technical/integration teams.
Required Skills
- 6–10 years of SAP experience, including strong SAP MDG experience.
- Good knowledge of MDG data models, workflows, BRF+, validations, and governance processes.
- Experience with Material, Customer, and/or Supplier/Vendor master data.
- Understanding of SAP ECC/S/4HANA and MDG integrations.
- Experience in solution design, gap analysis, testing, and data quality.
- Ability to assess SAP standard vs. customization options.
- Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exposure to Fiori, DRF, APIs/IDocs, and S/4HANA is preferred.
