About the role
We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Technical Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) and ABAP development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the technical design, development, enhancement, and support of SAP MDG solutions. This is a strictly technical role. Candidates with purely functional SAP MDG experience or profiles primarily focused on functional consulting will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP MDG technical solutions.
- Develop and customize SAP MDG functionalities using ABAP programming.
- Work on MDG technical components, including data models, validations, derivations, workflows, and BRF+ enhancements from a technical implementation perspective.
- Develop and maintain ABAP objects, including reports, interfaces, enhancements, BADIs, user exits, and function modules.
- Work on SAP MDG integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems using IDocs, RFCs, web services, APIs, and other relevant integration technologies.
- Perform debugging, performance optimization, root cause analysis, and resolution of technical issues.
- Support technical testing, defect resolution, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
- Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Prepare technical design documents and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) technical development and implementation.
- Strong proficiency in SAP ABAP programming.
- Practical experience in ABAP debugging, enhancements, BADIs, user exits, reports, function modules, and custom development.
- Good understanding of SAP MDG architecture and its technical components.
- Experience with MDG data models, validations, derivations, and workflow-related technical enhancements.
- Knowledge of BRF+ and SAP MDG integration frameworks.
- Experience in technical troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Candidate Profile (Important):
- Must have hands-on experience as an SAP MDG technical consultant / SAP MDG ABAP developer.
- Must demonstrate practical development experience in both SAP MDG and ABAP.
- Purely functional SAP MDG consultants are not eligible.
- Candidates whose experience is limited to business process configuration, master data governance design, or functional requirement gathering without hands-on ABAP development will not be considered.
- Candidates should be comfortable with technical discussions and explaining their development experience in SAP MDG projects.
