About the role
Role Summary
- The SAP Senior TM Functional Consultant will lead design, configuration, and deployment of SAP TM solutions onS/4HANA, supporting complex logistics and transportation processes. The role requires strong hands-on TM configuration expertise, deep integration knowledge, and experience working incloud-enabled SAP landscapes(RISE, BTP, CPI).
Key Responsibilities
- Leadend-to-end SAP TM implementationson S/4HANA (
- Owntransportation business process designincluding:
- Freight Order Management
- Freight Unit & Capacity Planning
- Transportation Planning & Optimization
- Carrier Selection & Tendering
- Freight Settlement & Charge Management
- Configure SAP TM components including:
- Organizational structure & master data
- Transportation lanes, resources, and costs
- Charge calculation sheets & settlement profiles
- Driveintegration with SAP S/4HANAmodules:
- SD (Delivery, Billing)
- MM (Inbound logistics)
- EWM (Warehouse integration)
- FI (Freight settlement, accruals)
- Work withSAP BTP / CPIfor cloud-based integrations with:
- 3PLs, carriers, tracking platforms
- External TMS or logistics partners
- Supportembedded TM or side-car TMdeployment models
- Lead functional workshops, blueprint sessions, and stakeholder discussions
- Provide guidance to technical teams for enhancements, BADIs, and Fiori apps
- Support UAT, cutover planning, and post go-live stabilization
Required Skills & Expertise
- SAP TM Functional
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- SAP TM on S/4HANA (embedded or standalone)
- Transportation planning, execution, and settlement
- Experience withglobal logistics scenarios(inbound, outbound, intercompany)
- Knowledge offreight costing, track and trace charge management, and settlement integration
- SAP TM certification
- S/4HANA & Integration
- Experience integrating TM with:
- SD, MM, EWM, FI
- Understanding ofIDOCs, APIs, and CPI-based integrations
- Familiarity withFiori appsin SAP TM
- Cloud & Modern SAP Landscape
- Experience with:
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud or RISE with SAP
- SAP BTP (CPI, Integration Suite – functional understanding)
- Exposure tohybrid landscapes(on-prem + cloud)

- Experience withglobal rolloutsor multi-country deployments
- Exposure tologistics execution KPIs and analytics
