About the role
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright.
- Build end-to-end, functional, regression, and API automation test suites.
- Develop reliable automation for critical user journeys and platform workflows.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI / Jenkins / GitHub Actions).
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and QA teams to improve release quality.
- Perform API testing using tools/frameworks like Postman, Playwright API, or Rest Assured.
- Debug failures, perform root cause analysis, and improve test reliability.
- Identify flaky tests and improve automation stability and execution speed.
- Participate in test planning, automation reviews, and quality strategy discussions.
- Contribute towards AI/LLM quality initiatives, evaluation testing, or automation innovation projects.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in automation and manual testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Good programming knowledge in TypeScript / JavaScript / Python / Java.
- Strong understanding of automation framework design, SDLC and STLC, test design techniques, debugging and root cause analysis.
- Experience with: API testing, cross-browser testing, CI/CD integration, Git/version control systems.
- Basic SQL/database knowledge.
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools, LLM evaluation workflows, or AI testing initiatives.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM testing concepts, including evaluation frameworks or prompt validation workflows.
Good to Have:
- Experience with AI/LLM testing or evaluation frameworks.
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools or automation workflows.
- Experience with Docker, AWS, or cloud-based execution environments.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (k6 JMeter, etc. )
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
- Experience working in product-based or SaaS environments.
