About the role
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and enhance REST APIs and microservices for a high-scale product platform.
- Work on distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and backend performance optimisation.
- Design and optimise database solutions using SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features.
- Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, debugging, and production issue resolution.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Core Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, SQL databases, and distributed systems.
- Good understanding of OOPs, data structures and algorithms, design patterns, and system design.
- Experience with Kafka or other messaging systems is a plus.
- Exposure to AWS/cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, or CI/CD is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, and communication skills.
