About the role
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our in-office team and build scalable, high-impact backend systems. In this role, you will design and build scalable backend architecture and AI-powered product features, shipping code to production that's used by thousands of businesses globally. This is a high-ownership role where your work will have visible, real-world impact.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and take full responsibility for the backend development of our product.
- Build robust APIs and backend logic that power real-time experiences for thousands of e-commerce businesses.
- Work on AI-driven features and contribute to building an AI-first product experience.
- Contribute to database design, performance optimization, and overall system architecture.
- Drive the product forward by owning everything from architectural decisions to final deployment.
- Collaborate openly with your team, communicate proactively, and take pride in your work. This is not a solo journey.
Requirements:
- Skills: Backend frameworks, REST APIs, MCP.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of backend development, APIs, and scalable systems.
- Customer-Centric Approach: A genuine passion for helping customers succeed and a strong commitment to providing outstanding service.
- AI and Integrations: Interest or exposure to AI concepts, APIs (OpenAI, etc. ), or automation workflows.
- Ownership-Driven: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Automation Mindset: Interest in identifying and implementing automation solutions to streamline processes.
