About the role
As an Engineer on this team, you'll work on large-scale backend systems that ingest, reconcile, and serve merchant data, partnering closely with product and platform teams across Uber Eats.
Requirements:
- Strong backend engineering experience (distributed systems, APIs, data modeling).
- Experience building and operating production systems that handle large or complex datasets.
- Comfort working with imperfect or evolving data.
- Ability to reason about system design, ownership, and long-term maintainability.
- Bias toward shipping incremental improvements with clear user or business impact.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- 6+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems with experience in architecture design and developing high availability and high-performance systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Go, etc.
- Deep understanding and experience with backend services, large-scale systems, multi-cloud infrastructure, etc.
- Ability to contribute to technical innovation and problem-solving within a team setting.
