Job Title: Senior Developer
Primary Skill Alignment: .NET Framework, C#, WinForms, SQL/Oracle, Power BI, Crystal Reports, Azure dev ops.
Role Summary: Mphasis is seeking a Senior Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support business-critical applications in Hyderabad, India. The role will be responsible for application lifecycle management, requirements analysis, technical design, development, deployment, reporting, troubleshooting, documentation, and user support. The role will work closely with business users, application teams, infrastructure teams, and service management stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze user stories and business requirements and convert them into detailed technical specifications.
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications across the full application lifecycle.
- Develop applications using .NET Framework, C#, WinForms, design patterns, and related Microsoft technologies.
- Work with Oracle or SQL Server databases for data storage, querying, integration, and application reporting needs.
- Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI and Crystal Reports based on application and business data.
- Interact with REST APIs to extract, transform, and integrate data as required.
- Manage deployments across development, test, staging, and production environments, ensuring reliable and controlled releases.
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for source control, branching, and version management using Git.
- Investigate, resolve, and document application incidents, defects, and performance issues.
- Prepare end-user documentation, user manuals, and technical support notes for developed applications.
- Provide application user support by resolving queries, offering guidance, and ensuring effective usage of solutions.
- Apply structured problem-solving to resolve technical and operational challenges in a timely manner.
- Provide on-call or on-duty support as required for urgent application issues or incidents.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in application development, support, enhancement, or lifecycle management roles.
- Strong experience in .NET Framework 4.0/4.5, C#, WinForms, and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases.
- Experience developing reports using Power BI and Crystal Reports.
- Experience interacting with REST APIs for data extraction and integration.
- Experience with Git for version control and source code management.
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and continuous integration practices.
- Experience troubleshooting application issues, fixing defects, and improving performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business users and technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or another relevant technical discipline.
