About the role
Responsibilities:
- Drive service improvements by automating administrative tasks, provisioning, de-provisioning, reporting, and DNS lifecycle management.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using GitHub, Ansible, Shell scripting, and APIs.
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate routine operations and incident response processes.
- Manage, support, and optimise enterprise DNS infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in enterprise-scale DNS architecture, design, and administration.
- Hands-on expertise with BIND (Linux DNS), Windows DNS, and AD-integrated DNS environments.
- Knowledge of hybrid DNS deployments, including AWS Route 53 and Azure DNS.
- Strong understanding of DNS resolution, forwarders, zones, delegation, and cloud integration.
- Advanced DNS troubleshooting, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and high-availability design.
- Experience with disaster recovery (DR), failover DNS configurations, and scalable enterprise DNS solutions.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible, Shell scripting, GitHub, and API integrations.
- Strong problem-solving, operational support, and infrastructure engineering skills.
