About the role
We are seeking a Senior Front-end Engineer to build a web application that replaces a legacy desktop tool. The application must work reliably in customer environments, including those without internet access.
Responsibilities:
- Translate existing desktop workflows into web pages and build them.
- Work with backend engineers on API contracts; write component and end-to-end tests.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of front-end development; strong communication.
Must-Have Skills:
- React 18+ and TypeScript: Routing, state management, component libraries.
- Data-heavy UI: Virtualized tables, filtering, status dashboards, and log viewers.
- API integration: REST with OpenAPI-generated clients; real-time updates (WebSocket/SSE/SignalR).
- Security: Role-based UI, secure token handling, CSP, XSS/CSRF protection.
- Quality: Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), Jest/React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Converting desktop applications to the web: workflow analysis.
- Offline-capable builds with no CDN dependency; design systems; charting (ECharts/D3).
