About the role

Job Purpose: The Senior Manager – Government Sales (Project Relation Manager) will be responsible for managing key relationships with government bodies related to central government like MNRE, BEE, ISI and more, ensuring smooth execution of solar pumping projects. The role involves active engagement with government stakeholders, addressing project-related concerns, tracking approvals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The incumbent will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless coordination between the company and the government officials to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:Project Relationship Management:

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with government bodies related to central government and other relevant government authorities.
Act as the primary point of contact between the company and government officials for solar pumping projects.

Follow-ups & Coordination:

Regularly track project approvals, fund disbursements, and policy updates.
Ensure timely submission of required documents and reports to government bodies.

Government Engagement & Representation:

Represent Shakti Pumps in meetings, discussions, and official interactions with policymakers and regulatory bodies.
Address challenges related to project implementation by coordinating with internal teams and ministry officials.

Regulatory Compliance & Policy Monitoring:

Stay updated on government policies, renewable energy regulations, and government procurement guidelines.
Ensure company projects align with government compliance requirements.

Reporting & Documentation:

Prepare periodic reports on project progress, key policy developments, and engagement activities for senior management.

Skills & Qualification:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Engineering, or a related field.
8-12 years of experience in government sales, business development, or project relationship management, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
Strong understanding of central government policies, government procurement processes, and renewable energy regulations.
Experience in handling large-scale government projects and liaising with senior officials.
Proficient in MS Office Suite and working knowledge of project management tools. Understanding of government procurement processes and documentation requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage with government stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities to address project-related issues efficiently.
Ability to work independently and in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
