We are looking for a highly experienced, dependable, and self-driven Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and engineering. The ideal candidate will be an expert in 2D & 3D CAD modeling, design calculations, and GD&T, with strong engineering fundamentals and excellent communication skills.

The candidate will work independently as an Individual Contributor (IC) and will be responsible for developing robust mechanical designs, performing engineering calculations, preparing detailed manufacturing drawings, and supporting design activities related to industrial/API valve applications.

• Develop and modify 2D and 3D mechanical models and assemblies using CAD tools.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing and fabrication drawings with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
• Perform and review mechanical design calculations to validate design integrity, performance, and safety.
• Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles effectively in engineering drawings.
• Analyze design requirements and develop practical, manufacturable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Independently handle design activities from concept through detailed engineering and release.
• Review existing designs and recommend improvements for performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and other engineering teams as required.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Study and develop familiarity with API valve-related standards and requirements.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, calculations, and design records.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Take ownership of assigned engineering activities and deliver projects within agreed timelines.

• 10+ years of relevant mechanical design/engineering experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD modeling and drafting.
• Strong hands-on experience with design calculations.
• Thorough knowledge of GD&T and its practical application in manufacturing drawings.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and design-for-manufacturing knowledge.
• Proven ability to work independently as an Individual Contributor.
• Highly dependable, self-driven, and accountable, with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Experience in industrial valve design, particularly API-related valve applications.
• Knowledge of API valve standards and related industry standards.
• Willingness and ability to study and apply relevant API standards/specifications.
• Previous experience working with US-based customers/projects.
• Valid USA work visa is preferred.
