Senior Principal Engineer - iOS

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Principal Engineer - iOS to lead the design, development, and evolution of large-scale mobile applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in iOS development, mobile architecture, and engineering best practices while driving technical excellence across the organisation. As a senior technical leader, you will be responsible for architecting scalable solutions, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class mobile experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex iOS applications.
• Drive technical strategy and engineering best practices across the iOS platform.
• Design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance mobile solutions.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and QA teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Review architecture, code quality, performance, and security standards.
• Mentor senior engineers and contribute to the growth of the engineering organisation.
• Drive innovation in mobile architecture, performance optimisation, and user experience.
• Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and engineering decision-making.
• Ensure application reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Requirements:

• 11+ years of experience in iOS application development.
• Strong expertise in Swift and modern iOS development practices.
• Hands-on experience with MVVM, VIPER, and scalable mobile architectures.
• Strong experience with SwiftUI and UIKit.
• Deep understanding of iOS frameworks, design patterns, and application lifecycle.
• Experience building and scaling enterprise-grade or consumer-facing mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of performance optimisation, memory management, and multithreading.
• Experience with REST APIs, networking, offline data management, and mobile security.
• Ability to drive architecture discussions and technical leadership initiatives.
