About the role
Responsibilities:
- To perform software testing to see if the software meets all the requirements, i. e it performs the functions it is supposed to in all the intended environments.
- To create and run test cases based on the input provided by the development team.
- To ensure full understanding of the issue/bug found and report the same to the development team.
- To gather logs and configuration details in case of a bug and provide the same to the development team.
- To set up test environments.
- To troubleshoot issues reported by the customers in live production environments and provide logs and configuration details to reproduce the issue to the development team
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (B. E. /B. Tech / BCA) in IT/Computer Science.
- Good to have: Manual testing, generating test cases, Product Testing.
- Good analytical and reasoning skills; should be able to create and apply all scenarios in the workflow of the software.
- Good communication skills.
Good to have:
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, 3-way handshake, DNS, etc. )
- HTTP protocol (Structure, status codes, authentication, etc. )
- SSL/TLS protocols
- Routing
- SMTP
- Linux fundamentals (Command line navigation and basic features, file system, permissions, networking, etc. )
- Windows (Permissions, services, file system, Event Viewer, etc. )
- Active Directory (Domains, structure, permissions, group policies, etc. )
