Senior SAP Basis Consultant

Aevitas IT is looking for an experienced Senior SAP Basis Consultant with strong hands-on expertise across SAP Implementations, Support, Rollouts, Migrations, and System Administration activities. The ideal candidate should have end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Basis experience and be comfortable working in both Public and Private Cloud environments.

This role requires deep technical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage SAP landscapes independently in a remote environment.

• Lead and support SAP Basis activities across Implementation, Rollout, Migration, and AMS projects

• Perform SAP S/4HANA system installations, upgrades, conversions, and migrations

• Manage daily Basis administration and support activities, including:

  • System monitoring and performance tuning

  • User administration, roles, and authorizations

  • Transport management (STMS)

  • Client administration

• Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities ensuring system stability and uptime

• Perform system refreshes, client copies, system copies, and landscape management

• Apply SAP patches, kernel upgrades, support packs, and enhancement packs

• Monitor and resolve system issues, dumps, locks, background jobs, and RFCs

• Coordinate with functional, development, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution

• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and restore strategies

• Maintain system documentation and follow SAP best practices

• Provide on-call and critical production support as required

• 8–12 years of strong SAP Basis experience

• Mandatory: Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Basis

• Proven experience in:

  • SAP Implementations, Rollouts, and Migrations

  • Production Support (L2/L3)

  • System Upgrades and Unicode conversions

• Strong knowledge of:

  • SAP NetWeaver, HANA DB Administration

  • OS (Linux/Unix/Windows)

  • SAP Solution Manager (preferred)

• Experience with Month-end and Year-end processing support

• Ability to independently manage complex SAP landscapes

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Experience in SAP on Public Cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP)

• Experience in Private Cloud or SAP RISE environments

• Exposure to cloud-based system monitoring and security best practices

• SAP certifications in Basis or S/4HANA

• Exposure to automation, scripting, or tools for system monitoring

• Experience working with global clients and distributed teams
