About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior SDET with strong expertise in API Testing and Java-based Test Automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable automation frameworks, validating APIs and contracts, and ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications through robust automation practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable API automation frameworks.
- Create and execute automated test cases for REST APIs and backend services.
- Perform API validation using Postman, REST Assured, and OpenAPI specifications.
- Develop Java-based automation scripts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform contract testing and validate API compatibility across services.
- Manage test data and create comprehensive automation test scenarios.
- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and product stakeholders to ensure product quality.
- Participate in code reviews and continuously improve automation processes.
Requirements:
- 4.5-6 years of experience in QA Automation or SDET roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with API Testing.
- Expertise in Postman and REST Assured.
- Strong proficiency in Java-based Test Automation.
- Experience with OpenAPI Validation and Contract Testing.
- Good understanding of CI/CD Integration.
- Experience with OAuth2/JWT Authentication testing.
- Hands-on experience in Test Data Management.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Cucumber (BDD Framework).
- Performance Testing using JMeter, Gatling, or k6
- Basic understanding of Security Testing.
- Experience with WireMock or other mocking frameworks.
- Knowledge of Consumer-Driven Contract Testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
