About the role
POSITION SUMMARY:
Design, develop, test, and support Java-based applications while managing key aspects of the Application Development Life Cycle. The role focuses on scalable full-stack engineering, modern cloud and DevOps practices, and practical use of AI/GenAI in software development.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java full-stack application development.
- Strong experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience using AI/Generative AI technologies in software development and engineering workflows.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILL SET:
- Backend: Java 8/11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA
- Architecture: Microservices, RESTful APIs
- Frontend: Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Database: MongoDB
- Testing: JUnit
- Build & Version Control: Maven/Gradle, Git
- CI/CD: Bitbucket, GitHub Actions

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based full-stack applications.
- Develop scalable REST APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop responsive frontend components using Angular.
- Leverage AI/GenAI capabilities to improve application functionality, developer productivity, automation, and engineering efficiency.
- Evaluate and integrate AI/LLM-based solutions into applications where appropriate.
- Write clean, reusable, secure, and maintainable code.
- Develop unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot application, performance, and production issues.
- Collaborate with business, QA, architecture, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
- Participate in technical design, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
- Support CI/CD and application deployments across environments.
- Take ownership of assigned deliverables and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
