About the role
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong frontend expertise who can independently design, build, and deliver high-quality features across the stack. You will play a key role in shaping implementation decisions, improving engineering standards, and mentoring junior engineers. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy owning problems end-to-end and working closely with product, clinical, and engineering stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end features across frontend and backend systems.
- Build scalable, maintainable frontend applications using React.js .
- Design and implement robust backend services and APIs using Node.js .
- Own feature delivery from requirements clarification to production release.
- Make thoughtful trade-offs between speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
- Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code.
- Review code from peers and raise the overall quality bar.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and clinicians to refine requirements.
- Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and reliability best practices, especially for healthcare data.
- Actively contribute to improving engineering processes, tooling, and standards.
- Use modern developer tooling, including AI-assisted development tools, to improve productivity while maintaining high standards of code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
Requirements:
- 4-7 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in HTML/CSS.
- Solid experience with React.js and modern frontend patterns.
- Solid experience with Node.js and RESTful API design.
- Experience working with databases, including SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Strong understanding of software design principles, performance optimization, and error handling and observability.
- Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing.
- Hands-on experience with Git-based workflows and code reviews.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Ability to debug complex issues across the stack.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated sound judgment in leveraging AI-assisted tools, knowing when to use them and when not to.
Nice To Have:
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native systems.
- Exposure to healthcare, medical devices, or regulated domains.
- Experience designing APIs or systems consumed at scale.
- Prior mentoring experience.
