About the role
As a Senior Engineer on the Coverage team, you'll take ownership of critical areas of the Harness Code Coverage product suite, including:
- New and growing Coverage platform, which helps teams identify and prioritize coverage needs
- Report ingestion and processing which powers code coverage and quality insights
- Interactive dashboards that brings insights to life
You’ll collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams to build seamless, performant, and intuitive user experiences. Whether you’re designing a new coverage feature or improving scalability and resilience in processing, you’ll be empowered to own the full stack and shape the future of how teams test and ship code.
In this role you will
- Lead development across both frontend and backend systems of the Coverage product
- Own the architecture and implementation of key features in our coverage platform
- Improve developer workflows through integrations into other SCMs and CIs
- Author software functional specifications and design documents
- Champion performance, scalability, and reliability across the stack
- Partner closely with design, product, and other engineering teams to turn ideas into working software

Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience required.
- Previous contributions as part of a high-performing software engineering organization.
- Experience designing, extending, and maintaining high volume mission critical systems used by hundreds of thousands of end users.
- Experience with Go and PostgreSQL is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with React or similar is nice to have, but also not required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
