  • Act as the primary escalation point for mechanical technical and project-delivery issues.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and integration of team members.

Mechanical Engineering & Technical Oversight

  • Provide technical leadership across HVAC and ventilation, ductwork, plumbing and drainage, fire protection, mechanical piping, pumps, fans, and air-handling systems.
  • Review drawings, specifications, basis-of-design documents, schedules, load/airflow/pressure calculations, duct and piping layouts, riser diagrams, and schematics.
  • Review shop drawings, material/product submittals, method statements, installation sequences, and vendor technical data.
  • Lead constructability, maintainability, installation-access, and service-clearance reviews.
  • Develop/review RFIs, technical queries, submittals, and value-engineering proposals.
  • Review testing, balancing (TAB), pressure testing, flushing, start-up, commissioning, and system-turnover requirements.
  • Monitor procurement and long-lead mechanical equipment/materials and maintain appropriate technical registers and QA/QC documentation.

Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a key interface between the mechanical engineering team and US-based project teams.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, MEP managers, designers, trade partners, commissioning agents, manufacturers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Participate in design reviews, project meetings, procurement reviews, testing discussions, and commissioning meetings.
  • Monitor RFIs, submittals, technical issues, procurement actions, dependencies, and closeout activities.
  • Prepare technical risk summaries, status reports, procurement dashboards, and recovery plans.
  • Escalate design gaps, technical concerns, schedule risks, lead-time issues, and commercial matters with appropriate recommendations.

Document Control & Project Closeout

  • Manage document-control processes for assigned mechanical scopes.
  • Maintain current drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, revisions, and change documentation.
  • Monitor approval workflows, revision histories, outstanding actions, and document quality.
  • Lead mechanical closeout and system-turnover activities.
  • Oversee record drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, testing records, TAB reports, commissioning documentation, asset information, and training materials.
  • Ensure closeout deliverables meet contractual timelines and client requirements.

Budget, Commercial, Risk, Quality & Safety

  • Support mechanical budgets, cost codes, approval workflows, procurement, and commercial administration.
  • Review proposals, quotations, change documentation, scope, quantities, labor, materials, exclusions, and budget compliance.
  • Support payment applications, schedule-of-values reviews, stored-material validation, and cost tracking.
  • Identify technical, commercial, procurement, schedule, testing, commissioning, and project risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure QA/QC reviews are completed across drawings, calculations, submittals, installation readiness, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
  • Promote safe construction and maintainability, including access, lifting/rigging, pressure testing, LOTO, confined-space, and service-clearance considerations.
