About the role
We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer specialising in enterprise automation and platform quality to design scalable automated testing frameworks and ensure robustness across distributed enterprise systems.
The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:
Automation Strategy and Architecture:
- Design and implement scalable automated test frameworks across UI, API, and backend layers.
- Establish CI/CD-integrated test pipelines for rapid feedback and continuous validation.
- Define automation standards, coding practices, and test data strategies.
- Own regression, integration, and end-to-end automation suites.
Enterprise System Quality Assurance:
- Ensure reliability across distributed systems, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and microservices.
- Validate performance, scalability, and resilience under production-like loads.
- Implement security, compliance, and audit validation testing aligned with enterprise standards.
- Conduct defect root-cause analysis and drive systemic quality improvements.
Full-Stack System Testing:
- Validate frontend components, backend services, databases, and integrations.
- Build and maintain API automation frameworks (REST / GraphQL).
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to shift quality left.
Quality Governance and Release Assurance:
- Define test coverage benchmarks and quality KPIs aligned with business impact.
- Embed observability and monitoring validation into release cycles.
- Act as the quality gatekeeper before production releases.
- Contribute to long-term quality engineering maturity and tooling strategy.
Requirements:
- 7-12 years in software testing with a strong automation focus.
- Expertise in automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and REST Assured.
- Strong programming in Python, Java, or similar.
- Experience testing enterprise-grade distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps-integrated testing.
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, k6 Gatling, etc. )
- Strong debugging and system-level troubleshooting skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with observability tools (Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc. )
