Senior Test Leader (Embedded Systems) / Technical Product Owner (V&V) 

Experience: 10–15 Years 

Education: B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in EEE / ECE or equivalent 

Location: Bangalore 

Role Summary 

Seeking a seasoned Senior Test Leader to drive end-to-end quality ownership, test strategy, and team leadership for embedded firmware products of Energy management domains. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic vision. 

Key Responsibilities 

Test Leadership & Strategy 

·      Define and drive organization-level test strategy and quality roadmap 

·      Own end-to-end V&V lifecycle across multiple product lines 

·      Establish best practices, quality metrics, and governance models 

Program & Delivery Ownership 

·      Lead test planning, execution, and release readiness across programs 

·      Ensure alignment with business goals, timelines, and quality benchmarks 

·      Manage risk identification, mitigation, and escalation 

Test Automation Excellence 

·      Define enterprise-level test automation strategy and roadmap 

·      Drive adoption of scalable Python-based automation frameworks 

·      Improve efficiency through CI/CD integration and continuous testing 

Team Leadership & Mentoring 

·      Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing test teams 

·      Provide technical guidance and career development 

·      Foster a culture of quality mindset and continuous improvement 

Defect & Quality Management 

·      Oversee defect lifecycle management and root cause analysis 

·      Drive initiatives to reduce defect leakage and improve product quality 

·      Establish and monitor quality KPIs and dashboards 

Technical Oversight 

·      Provide expertise in:  

·      Embedded firmware validation 

·      Industrial protocols (Modbus, BACnet, IP-based communication) 

·      Hardware-software integration testing 

·      Ensure robust validation of energy management and power metering systems 

Agile & Stakeholder Collaboration 

·      Work closely with engineering, product management, and leadership teams 

·      Drive execution in Agile/Scrum environments 

·      Communicate status, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders 

Required Skills & Expertise 

·      Strong experience (10–15 years) in Embedded Verification, Test Automation 

·      Proven leadership in managing test teams and large programs 

·      Expertise in:  

·      Python-based test automation frameworks 

·      Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP protocols, Embedded systems & debugging 

·      Experience in test strategy, architecture, and governance 

·      Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Git, Jira, Test Management systems 

Domain Expertise Preference  

·      Strong exposure to Energy Management / Power Metering systems 

Soft Skills 

·      Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills 

·      Excellent stakeholder management and communication 

·      Ability to drive organizational-level quality initiatives
