Purpose of the Job:

Role Holder will ensure that the production target of the shift is adhered to and implements process improvements to effectively utilize equipment and materials to maximize production. Troubleshoots process to identify and resolve process lapses

Process Excellence

• Shift take over and handover activities, Studies the production plan for mold changes and ensures the implementation of the same
• Coordinate with Supporting department (Maintenance, Stores, quality, warehouse Mold Incharge) Communicate & reduce downtime, FG transfer, quality issues& Mold changepriority.
• Ensure Mold and machine are running safely. Verification of Products on allocated machines for quality , Maintain out put as per set standards.
• Ensure In process quality checks as per the defined standards
• Implement & verify action taken for customer complaints.
• Ensures Autonomous maintenance of machines is done as per plan.
• Ensures nonconformance is clear in shifts.
• To verify that equipment's condition is OK & applied poke-yoke on m/c’s are effective.
• To monitor & analyze the reason for rejection / wastage / rework & to initiate corrective action for the same.
• To meet the target of reduction of WIP at all stages & productivity target as defined & set by superior.
• Verification of DPR and NAV entries.
• Capture Unsafe acts and condition
• Assist Jr. Engineers in critical process troubleshooting and control rejections in shifts
• Verification of issued Material, consumables in shifts
• Conducts trials of sleeves, masterbatch execution and reporting
• Verification of the documents for ISO audits
• Participates in the mold trials.

People Management.

• Training the team on effective way of handling machines and packing SOPS and brief on the technology and safety absolutes

KEY INTERACTIONS (Who does this position interact with on a regular basis to perform this role? How often and for what purpose?)

Internal

Maintenance Manager, Manager QC,

Daily with the cross functional teams to understand their requirement and plan accordingly.

Qualification:

Education:

• Diploma or B.E Production/manufacturing/ CIPET
• Engineering degree in Plastic engineering, Material engineering will also be added advantage.

Experience:

• 3-5 years experience in Rigid plastic manufacturing projects is required particularly from ISBM Technology.
• Must have the working experience of SAP /ERP.

• Understanding of rigid packaging industry / moulding industry updated with latest trends

• Ability to demonstrate achievement of results e.g. business improvements, cost savings

• Technical capability in terms of machine – mould – product knowledge

• Ability to understand and work with data model

• Operations Management, Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing,5S
• Familiar with ISO,FSSC Process and Audits

• Excellent performance in a project management, project executive or senior project engineering role on complex engineering or maintenance projects

• MS office tools
