About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance strategies, establishing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs to eliminate root causes of failure across battery and vehicle assembly lines
- Conduct routine patrolling and inspection rounds to monitor machinery and conveyors, identifying early warning signs before potential breakdowns disrupt productivity
- Execute structured preventive maintenance schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis in strict alignment with the overarching annual maintenance plan
- Implement dynamic weekly checks on critical assets, continuously updating inspection criteria based on historical failure trends
- Diagnose and resolve breakdown issues rapidly, performing real-time repairs, component replacements and necessary mechanical adjustments according to production priorities
- Deploy immediate and permanent countermeasures by conducting structured root-cause analyses tailored to the severity of each breakdown
- Upskill maintenance technicians and associates through targeted troubleshooting training to drive down mean time to repair and maximise equipment uptime
- Collaborate with production and cross-functional stakeholders to align maintenance windows with operational targets and minimise shop-floor disruption
- Maintain meticulous documentation and failure histories, archiving repair logs, performance metrics and countermeasure implementation reports with concrete proof of resolution
- Manage spare parts matrices and inventory levels utilising ABC classification, tracking delivery schedules to guarantee critical spares are available when required
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automobile, Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics with 4 - 8 years of experience
- PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting across Siemens and Mitsubishi platforms
- Programming and fault resolution for Epson robotics, Amada welding robots, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Plant maintenance execution using SAP S/4HANA alongside ISO 9001:2015 audit compliance and Kaizen deployment
