Summary:
As a Silicon Firmware and Embedded Engineer, a typical day involves writing software that controls and operates silicon chips, focusing on developing firmware and software before the silicon is finalized. The role includes working closely with hardware interfaces, integrating and developing tests and application programming interfaces, managing software build processes, and participating in design and code reviews. Additionally, the engineer tests and validates product implementations to ensure functionality and performance meet the required standards, collaborating with team members to support project goals and deliverables.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of firmware with hardware components.
- Document technical specifications and development processes to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in understanding project requirements and technical challenges.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Embedded C++.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and hardware-software interaction.
- Experience in developing and debugging firmware for silicon chips.
- Familiarity with software build systems and continuous integration workflows.
- Ability to perform thorough design and code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
- Skilled in writing and executing test cases to validate firmware functionality and performance.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Embedded C++.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
