Software Developer (Backend)

CustomerLabs is a fast-growing B2B SaaS company helping businesses maximize the value of their first-party customer data. Our platform helps marketers collect, unify, and activate customer data to improve marketing performance and drive measurable growth.

As a Backend Developer, you'll be responsible for building, testing, deploying, and maintaining reliable backend systems. You'll understand the business context behind features, write maintainable code, and contribute to a strong engineering culture.

·Work across the software development lifecycle from analysis through deployment and maintenance.

·Design and develop backend functionality using Python and Django.

·Write structured, maintainable code with clear documentation and technical design.

·Build solutions that cover use cases, testing, integration, and production quality.

·Work with SQL or NoSQL databases and integrate components into functional systems.

·Use user feedback and production insights to improve stability and usability.

·Prepare technical documentation and training material for new engineers.

·Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver high-quality features.

·Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

·3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Backend Developer, or relevant role.

·Strong proficiency in Python and Django.

·Understanding of OOP, persistence, threading, data structures, and algorithms.

·Hands-on experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.

·Knowledge of AI-assisted code generation and tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.

·Ability to work collaboratively with strong communication skills.

·Open-source project experience.

·Experience designing interactive applications.

·Prior experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or OpenStack.

·Experience working in a startup environment.

·Features ship with strong code quality, test coverage, maintainability, and reliability.
