About the role
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using Next.js (React).
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful/GraphQL APIs built with Django and Python.
- Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, reusable frontend components.
- Optimise applications for speed, SEO, and accessibility.
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to frontend best practices.
- Debug and resolve frontend issues across browsers and devices.
- Work closely with product managers and designers to deliver features end-to-end.
Requirements:
- Strong experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and React.js .
- Hands-on experience with Next.js (SSR, SSG, routing, and performance optimisation).
- Solid understanding of HTML5 CSS3 and modern styling approaches (Tailwind, CSS Modules, or Styled Components).
- Experience consuming APIs from Django/Python backends.
- Familiarity with authentication flows (JWT, OAuth, session-based auth).
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Good understanding of web performance, accessibility, and SEO fundamentals.
- Experience working with Django templates or Django REST Framework.
- Basic backend experience with Python/Django.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Vercel, or similar).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
