About the role
We are looking for an SDE II (Python) to build and maintain scalable backend systems. You will work on system design, develop APIs, and contribute to high-performance applications while mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable backend systems using Python.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Participate in system design and architecture discussions.
- Optimize applications for performance and scalability.
- Debug production issues and ensure system reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in Python (OOP, async programming).
- Experience with frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
- Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Git, messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and testing frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with event-driven architectures and JAVA.
- Knowledge of system design (HLD/LLD).
- Exposure to ML pipelines or AI systems.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
