About the role
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver using JavaScript to design and implement robust automated testing solutions. The candidate should be capable of testing complex web applications and APIs, ensuring high reliability and scalability. Experience with Playwright or Appium will be considered a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium with JavaScript.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and cross-browser testing.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to define and validate test scenarios.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Debug test failures, analyze logs, and provide clear defect reports.
- Maintain and optimize automation frameworks for scalability and reusability.
- Conduct API testing and validation as part of end-to-end test coverage.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with test frameworks such as Mocha, Jest, or Jasmine.
- Knowledge of API testing (Postman, SuperTest, or similar).
- Experience with Git and integrating tests in CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with Playwright for modern web test automation.
- Exposure to Appium for mobile test automation (iOS/Android).
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, LambdaTest).
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber).
- Understanding of DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes).
