Job Title: Associate Test Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Associate Test Engineer to join our dynamic software testing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge in Functional Testing, particularly in server environments. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute functional test cases based on software requirements and specifications.
• Perform thorough testing of server-side applications to identify defects and ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand project requirements and provide feedback on software functionality.
• Understanding of Performance Testing, ETL Testing, DSA.
• Document test results, report defects, and track issues using appropriate tools.
• Participate in test planning and strategy discussions to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
• Continuously improve testing practices and contribute to the development of automated testing frameworks.
• Assist in the maintenance of test environments and ensure they are up-to-date with the latest software versions.
• Provide support during user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in the resolution of any issues that arise.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Functional Testing principles and methodologies.
• Experience with server testing, including performance and load testing.
• Proficiency in test case design and execution.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test management software.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex requirements and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of scripting languages for test automation.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
