About the role

Duties

The role

This is a process automation role anchored on our existing Moveworks-based system, with scope to extend into the broader automation work that sits around it. You'll keep the production system running, keep it useful, and keep it evolving as business requests come in building Python automation, integrations with enterprise systems, Moveworks plugins and conversation flows, monitoring, and incident response when something misbehaves.

This isn't a greenfield agentic build role the new agent platform projects on the team's roadmap sit with other engineers. Your remit is process automation across the existing production surface: stability, enhancements, new integrations and workflows, and the unglamorous-but-critical work of making sure it does what it's supposed to, every day.

What you'll do

  • Own day-to-day support and operation of the production automation stack at Client, including the Moveworks deployment.
  • Build, modify, and maintain automation workflows, integrations, and Moveworks plugins and conversation flows.
  • Write Python automation, scripts, and connectors that wire enterprise systems together (JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence, internal APIs) both standalone and as extensions to Moveworks.
  • Triage and resolve production incidents root cause, fix, and document so it doesn't bite us again.
  • Handle change requests from internal stakeholders: scoping, building, testing, deploying.
  • Keep monitoring, logging, and alerting honest. If we don't know it broke, that's a problem to fix.
  • Document what you build and what you fix. Future you (and the rest of the team) will thank you.

Skills

What we need you to bring

  • 3+ years building process automation and enterprise integrations in Python — the core of the job.
  • 2+ years of hands-on Moveworks experience (plugins, conversation design, integrations, admin) non-negotiable, since you'll own the existing deployment.
  • Solid REST/webhook integration experience with enterprise systems (JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence, or similar).
  • Comfort owning a production system end-to-end: incident response, on-call, root cause analysis.
  • Working knowledge of cloud (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP also acceptable) and basic CI/CD.
  • Clear written communication. You'll be explaining what broke, what you changed, and why to engineers, IT stakeholders, and sometimes execs.
  • Self-sufficient and accountable. Small team, async work across geographies we don't have time to micromanage.

Nice to have

  • Experience with other conversational AI / agent platforms or LLM-based systems.
  • Background in IT service desk operations or ITSM (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
  • Test automation skills (pytest, Postman, Playwright).
  • Prior experience as a contractor inside large enterprise IT environments.
  • Exposure to observability stacks (Datadog, Grafana, ELK, App Insights).
