About the role
We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong Java development skills and exposure to AI-powered applications. You will be responsible for building scalable backend services while contributing to the development and integration of AI-driven features into enterprise products. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy backend development and are eager to work with modern AI technologies in real-world applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement AI-enabled product features.
- Integrate LLMs, AI APIs, or ML services into enterprise applications.
- Optimise application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and production support.
- Stay updated with emerging AI technologies and software engineering best practices.
Requirements:
- 1.5-3 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
- Strong knowledge of Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot.
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Basic understanding or hands-on experience with AI/ML concepts, generative AI, LLMs, or AI APIs.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong foundation in backend engineering.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn AI technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ownership mindset with attention to code quality and performance.
Good to Have:
- Experience with vector databases or RAG-based applications.
- Exposure to prompt engineering or AI orchestration frameworks.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
