Job Description: Sourcing Specialist (FG) - Leather Gloves

Job Role:

The Sourcing Specialist (FG) will be responsible for sourcing finished leather gloves for our Leather Gloves portfolio. This role is pivotal in ensuring a steady supply of high-quality products at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Management:

· Identify, evaluate, and develop a strong network of reliable suppliers for finished leather gloves.

· Conduct thorough supplier assessments to ensure quality and delivery performance.

· Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to optimize costs and delivery timelines.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.

Sourcing Strategy:

· Develop and implement a robust sourcing strategy to meet the company's procurement needs.

· Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the global leather market.

· Identify and explore new sourcing avenues to ensure a diverse supplier base.

Quality Assurance:

· Work closely with the quality assurance team to set and enforce stringent quality standards.

· Conduct regular quality inspections and audits of suppliers to maintain product quality.

· Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

Supply Chain Management:

· Manage the entire supply chain process, from sourcing to delivery, to ensure smooth operations.

· Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock management to minimize costs and avoid stockouts.

· Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient shipment of goods.

Order Management:

· Place orders with suppliers, track order progress, and ensure timely delivery.

· Resolve any supply chain issues or discrepancies promptly.

· Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth production planning and scheduling.

Cost Management:

· Analyze market trends and cost fluctuations to optimize sourcing strategies.

· Negotiate favorable pricing and payment terms with suppliers.

· Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement cost-reduction initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Sample Development: Responsible for developing and maintaining prototype samples.

· Quality Control: Conduct inline and final inspections of running orders to ensure quality standards.

· Market Knowledge: Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and supply dynamics.

· Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor's or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.

· 5-7 years of experience in sourcing finished leather gloves or related products.

· Strong understanding of the leather industry, including supply chain dynamics and market trends.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

· Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
