Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Senior SDET with strong hands-on expertise in test automation, particularly Selenium WebDriver and Selenium Grid, along with programming experience in C# or Java.The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, API testing, SQL, BDD, and CI/CD processes. The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing automation strategies, preparing complex test data, performing exploratory testing, identifying quality risks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software in an Agile development environment.Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, participate in story refinement sessions, and identify testing requirements and dependencies.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Selenium Grid.
- Prioritize test cases for automation and ensure automation activities are completed within sprint timelines.
- Perform API testing using programming-based automation, Postman, Swagger, or other relevant tools.
- Prepare and manage complex test data required for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Conduct exploratory, ad-hoc, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing to identify application defects and quality risks.
- Develop and execute BDD-based test scenarios using frameworks such as Cucumber/Gherkin.
- Write and execute complex SQL queries for backend data validation and database testing.
- Participate in automation code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and monitor automated test execution.
- Monitor Azure DevOps releases, identify regression issues, and report environment-related or application defects.
- Track defects, perform root-cause analysis, and prepare quality metrics, test reports, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and geographically distributed teams.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in Software Testing / SDET / QA Automation.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Selenium Grid.
- Strong programming knowledge in either C# or Java, with a good understanding of OOP concepts.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on API testing experience using code-based automation, Postman, Swagger, or equivalent tools.
- Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries for backend validation and test data preparation.
- Hands-on experience in developing and executing BDD-based test scenarios.
- Minimum 1+ year of experience working with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or other DevOps tools.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio 2016 or later.
- Good understanding of Git and version control practices.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test planning, test case design, and defect management.
- Practical experience in exploratory testing, ad-hoc testing, regression testing, and functional testing.
- Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong hands-on automation experience with Selenium WebDriver/Grid.
- Ability to independently plan testing activities and identify automation opportunities.
- Good understanding of API testing, SQL, BDD, and CI/CD integration.
- Experience preparing complex test data and executing exploratory testing.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to take ownership of quality deliverables throughout the software development lifecycle.
