Technical Skills
- Experience in design, implementation, and support of Splunk (Indexers, Forwarders, Search-Heads Setup etc)
- Experience with implementing and administering Splunk.
- Validate log sources and indexed data, search through indexed data to optimize search criteria
- Good understanding with virtualization technologies (Hypervisor, VMware, etc)
- Apps/ dashboards for license usage and Application errors
- Experience with Linux and Windows agents for Splunk administration with a solid understanding of the Splunk system.
- Ability to create operations documentation for maintaining the Splunk infrastructure.
- Setting up Splunk Forwarding for new application tiers introduced into the environment.
- Identifying bad searches/dashboards and partnering with the creators to improve performance.
- Troubleshooting Splunk performance issues / Opening support cases with Splunk.
- Monitor the Splunk infrastructure for capacity planning and optimization.
- Troubleshoot log feeds, field extractions, search time, etc.
- Provide Granular, Role-based Security.
- Restrict access to sensitive logs/data
- Experience in on boarding new data, Inputting new information, Creating new dashboards, Extraction info through Splunk
- Report generation and customization
- Familiarity with server-side scripting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to interact with colleagues of varying technical skill levels
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Experience in Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting of Windows and Administration of Unix, Linux or other platforms
- Create and document high-quality technical reports
- Assist and support application architects, product managers and architecture teams
- Coordinate with high-level professionals, technical teams, IT management, other related staff and third-party vendors
- Strong communication skills
Role: Senior APM Implementation Analyst – For L2 and L3 resources
Experience Required: 4-10 Years
Key Responsibilities
1. Good understanding and usage of the following programming languages: JAVA, .NET, Node.js, PHP, C, C++, HTML etc.
2. Knowledge in middleware like WebLogic, WebSphere etc.
3. Demonstrates thorough knowledge and awareness of application performance issues in complex multi-tiered environment
4. Ability to do requirement gathering and target environment analysis from an APM perspective
5. In-depth understanding of AppDynamics license construct
6. Hands-on implementation experience in AppDynamics On-Premise and SaaS based solutions
7. Experience on Configuration and customization of AppDynamics solution
8. Ability to manage and deliver complete AppDynamics deployments in complex customer environments in quick timelines
9. Hardcore experience of creating custom configuration and alerting in AppDynamics deployments ensuring end-to-end tool functionality
10. Expertise in triage and root cause analysis (RCAs) of issues with collection and analysis of performance metrics as-required to diagnose complex system problems in a timely manner
11. Ability to integrate AppDynamics with various supported ITSM, CI/CD and QA/Performance Testing tools
12. Ability to create custom dashboards from the AppDynamics tool based on customer requirements
13. Strong knowledge of APM KPIs and reporting
14. Ability to deliver client PoC/PoV demonstrating tool benefit and capabilities
15. Ability to document resolved issues in an effective manner for knowledge management
16. Ability to cross-train peers with tool usage and assist in creation of best-practices
17. Ability to work independently on multiple assignments, proactively prioritizing focus and effort
18. Coordinate with various project stakeholders and partner support teams to ensure seamless tool deployment
19. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
20. AppDynamics Certification a plus
