About the role
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical BIM Delivery & Technical Oversight
Lead the production and review ofdetailed electrical construction and coordination drawingsin compliance withUS standards and codes.
Overseeconduit modelling, lighting fixture layouts,deviceand equipment placementin line with Design Development (DD) and Construction Documents (CD).
Ensureaccurateinterpretation and implementation ofdesign and contract drawingsacross BIM models.
2. Coordination & Constructibility
Lead electrical coordination witharchitectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines.
Manage and reviewclash detection and resolutionusing Navisworks.
Ensure constructibility andcoordinationreadiness for field execution.
3. BIM Model Management & Setup
Oversee thesetup and management of project filesinRevit, Navisworks, and BIM 360 / ACC Docs.
Define modelling standards, work sets, templates, andcoordinationworkflows for the electrical team.
Guide the team on documentation and datamanagementbest practices.
4. Documentation & Deliverables
Review and approveconceptual, presentation, working, and construction drawingsrelated to electrical systems.
Ensure deliverables meetclient requirements, BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), and project timelines.
Oversee the preparation of BIM models and detailing throughpre-construction to handover phases.
5. Quality Assurance & Standards Compliance
Implement andmonitorQA/QC processesfor electrical BIM deliverables.
Review electrical families,conduitlayouts, and model data foraccuracy, consistency, and code compliance.
Ensure adherence toUS electrical standards and project-specific guidelines.
6. Automation, Innovation & Advanced Tools
Provide leadership inDynamo scripting and automationto improve modelling efficiency and documentation accuracy.
Guide and reviewelectrical family creationandpoint cloud–based modellingwhere applicable.
Encourage adoption of best practices and continuous process improvements.
7. Team Leadership & Mentorship
Lead, mentor, and manage a team ofBIM Engineers and Electrical Modellers.
Allocate tasks, conduct technical reviews, and ensuretimelydelivery of high-quality outputs.
Support training, onboarding, and performance development of team members.
8. Client & Project Interface
Participate incoordination meetings, design reviews, and client discussionsfor US projects.
