About the role
Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee the electrical design, installation, testing, and commissioning of a solar power project. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing system efficiency, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.Key Responsibilities:1. Electrical Design & Engineering
- Design electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and system architecture for solar power plants.
- Perform load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination studies.
- Design and size transformers, inverters, switchgear, cables, and grounding systems.
- Ensure compliance with national and international electrical codes (IEC, NEC, CEA, etc.).
- Supervise the installation of electrical components such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, SCADA, and protection systems.
- Ensure quality control during procurement and installation.
- Coordinate with the civil and mechanical teams to ensure smooth execution of electrical works.
- Oversee electrical cabling, earthing, and lightning protection system installations.
- Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests on electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and rectify any electrical issues during testing.
- Ensure the grid synchronization of the solar power plant.
- Ensure adherence to local electrical safety and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and maintain all project-related documentation, including test reports, drawings, and as-built reports.
- Coordinate with government agencies, DISCOMs, and EPC contractors for approvals.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Experience in solar power plant design, installation, or commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of power system design, protection, and control systems.
- Familiarity with solar inverters, switchgear, SCADA, and grid interconnection requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and team coordination abilities.
