About the role
Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer – MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) to lead and manage MEP design and execution across our eco-habitat projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a passion for sustainable development. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration of MEP systems that align with our sustainability ethos.
Key Responsibilities:
· Project Planning & Design Coordination:
o Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and sustainability consultants to integrate MEP systems in design stages.o Evaluate and review MEP designs ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and green building guidelines.· Execution & Supervision:o Supervise contractors and subcontractors during installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.o Monitor project timelines, costs, quality, and safety standards across all MEP aspects.o Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical issues promptly.
· Vendor & Contractor Management:
o Evaluate and onboard MEP contractors and vendors.o Manage contracts, billing, and performance tracking.· Sustainability & Innovation:o Implement energy-efficient and water-saving technologies that align with Organo's eco-habitat goals.o Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate innovative, sustainable MEP solutions.
· Documentation & Compliance:
o Maintain project documentation including BOQs, drawings, material approvals, test reports, and commissioning checklists.o Ensure compliance with local regulatory bodies, green building certifications (IGBC, GRIHA), and statutory approvals.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.· 8–12 years of experience in MEP execution in real estate/residential townships/hospitality projects.· Proven experience in handling MEP aspects of large-scale residential or mixed-use developments.· Strong knowledge of sustainable building technologies, green certifications, and environmental systems.· Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Attributes:· Passion for sustainability and environmentally conscious design.· Familiarity with eco-habitat or farm-community developments.· Exposure to BIM/Revit tools for MEP coordination is desirable.
