About the role
The core requirements for the job include the following:
Strong Full-Stack Foundations:
- 7+ years of experience building web applications.
- Solid experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and Relational databases.
AI-Native, or Becoming One:
- You actively use modern AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar in your daily workflow.
- Comfortable going beyond autocomplete using AI for debugging, refactoring, multi-file changes, and end-to-end task execution.
- Interested in going beyond usage into building with AI (APIs, workflows, agents, integrations) over time.
Builder Mindset:
- You ship fast and iterate quickly.
- You care about outcomes, not just code in isolation.
High Ownership:
- Comfortable working in a small team with minimal structure.
- You take responsibility for what you build.
Product-Oriented Thinking:
- Interested in how systems impact users end-to-end.
- Willing to step outside strict role boundaries.
Bonus (good to have):
- Experience with GraphQL / Apollo.
- Experience integrating external APIs or third-party services.
- Experience building internal tools or automation systems.
- Exposure to AI APIs, prompt design, or LLM-based workflows.
