About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented senior automation QA engineer with 4-6 years of experience in automation testing for web, mobile, and API-based applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing robust automation frameworks, executing end-to-end testing strategies, ensuring product quality, and mentoring junior QA team members. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams in a fast-paced agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks using Selenium / Cypress / Playwright.
- Build and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
- Perform testing for web and mobile applications across browsers/devices.
- Conduct API testing using Postman, REST Assured or Swagger.
- Identify, report, track, and verify defects using JIRA / Asana / Azure DevOps.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with developers to shift-left quality practices.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA process improvements.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience in Selenium / Cypress / Playwright.
- Proficiency in Java / Python / JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum.
- Strong experience in regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing.
- Excellent debugging and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Good to Have:
- Experience with Appium for mobile automation.
- Exposure to performance testing using JMeter / LoadRunner.
- SQL / database validation skills.
- Experience in BDD tools like Cucumber.
- ISTQB certification.
