Job Title: Sr. Specialist - Finance & BPC
JOB PURPOSE
The Sr. Specialist - Finance is responsible for the effective functioning, enhancement, and governance of SAP
Finance (HANA) modules across the GMR Group. This role ensures the seamless functioning of business-
critical finance processes by managing system configurations, integrations, and compliance through
coordination with internal stakeholders, implementation partners, and audit teams. The role also supports
automation, reporting, and process optimization initiatives across business units.

SAP HR Operations & Vendor
Coordination
Oversee end-to-end SAP HANA Finance module operations
across business entities, ensuring high system availability
and continuity.
Manage end-to-end ticket lifecycle management, including
incident resolution, service and change requests-aligned
with defined SLAs.
Execute financial closing (monthly, quarterly, yearly) by
validating system readiness and supporting reconciliation.
Maintain accuracy of financial master data including GL, tax
codes, cost/profit centers, and reporting hierarchies.
Manage relationships with vendors and implementation
partners for effective resolution, enhancements, and system
tuning.

Integration & Process Mapping
Oversee and maintain seamless integrations across SAP
HANA, Ariba, SuccessFactors, and third-party platforms.
Map statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g., GST, SEZ,
TDS) correctly into the system.
Align SAP configurations with enterprise policies and
external regulations for finance, taxation, and reporting.
Validate data pipelines and interfaces to ensure data
integrity and timeliness. TAT for process mapping
Business process enhancements
Partner with group and Business finance teams to identify
inefficiencies and drive SAP-enabled process
improvements.
Proactively propose automation for financial reporting,
internal MIS, and compliance workflows.
Define and challenge business requirements to ensure
optimal process control, scalability, and automation.
Lead version upgrades, patches, and functional
enhancements by preparing business cases and
coordinating SIT/UAT/go-live with implementation partners.

Governance & Compliance
Maintain up-to-date documentation of SAP Finance
configurations, mappings, and workflows.
Align SAP controls with SoD (Segregation of Duties), access
governance, and financial compliance frameworks.
Collaborate with IT security and internal audit to review 3rd
party interface controls and audit trails.
Support audit readiness by ensuring timely implementation
of audit recommendations and proactive control
management.

Cross-functional Coordination
Coordinate with Material Management, HR and Project
Systems and other modules to manage cross-functional
process flows and interdependencies.
Serve as a liaison between business and IT to clarify
configuration impacts, dependencies, and change
implications.
Provide system education to users for configuration logic,
reporting dependencies, and audit-related requests.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
B.E./B.Tech/MCA or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Preferred Certifications: SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
10-15 years of experience in SAP Finance operations/support roles
Exposure to large-scale shared services or multi-business-unit environments preferred
