Sr Test Engineer - Automation

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Test Engineer - Automation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Selenium with C#, .NET/Java, and a solid understanding of automated testing frameworks. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining automated test scenarios, validating API and database behavior, and collaborating closely with developers and QA teammates to ensure the highest quality of our software products.

• Create and maintain automated test scenarios using Selenium with C#.
• Validate API and database behavior through comprehensive testing.
• Investigate test failures and provide detailed reports to the development team.
• Collaborate with developers and QA teammates to enhance testing processes.
• Conduct integration testing and end-to-end (E2E) testing to ensure system reliability.
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution and reporting.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of testing frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of Selenium with C#.
• Proficiency in .NET/Java programming languages.
• Experience with Specflow/Cucumber for behavior-driven development.
• Familiarity with NUnit for unit testing.
• Hands-on experience with REST API testing.
• Proficient in SQL Server for database validation.
• Experience with Git for version control.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.
• Familiarity with Jira for issue tracking and project management.

• Experience with an internal test automation framework or dependency-injection-based test architecture.
• Knowledge of Refit, typed HTTP clients, and custom HTTP message handlers.
• Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger for understanding and validating service contracts.
• Familiarity with SQL Server-backed enterprise systems and cross-service integration testing.
• Exposure to authentication patterns such as bearer tokens, OAuth, API keys, or basic authentication.
• Experience running automated tests in GitHub Actions or another CI system.
• Familiarity with test reporting tools such as Extent Reports and API tools like Bruno or Postman.
• Experience testing financial services, retirement, investment, or managed-account systems.
• Understanding of secrets management and protecting sensitive data in test code, logs, and reports.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in software testing principles and practices, with a focus on automation. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to quality are essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also required.
