About the role
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
- Build and manage microservices-based applications using modern frameworks and best practices.
- Develop and optimise APIs in line with API-first design principles.
- Design robust event-driven architectures leveraging messaging and streaming platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and performance optimisation across distributed systems.
- Drive engineering excellence through automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and technical strategy for backend platforms.
The core requirements for the job include the following:
Backend Technologies:
- Strong programming experience in Java and Python.
- Hands-on experience with: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data JPA, FastAPI.
Architecture and Systems:
- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and Distributed Systems.
- Experience designing and building highly available, fault-tolerant services.
- Proficiency in API-first development and RESTful services.
