About the role
Requirements:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in SDET and QA automation, including experience in Java Spring or Spring Boot and AI, also leading quality initiatives across multiple teams or products.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise with the ability to read production code, identify testability gaps, and influence engineering design.
- Hands-on experience designing and building scalable automation frameworks using Java-based testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Rest Assured, or equivalent.
- Strong experience across API, integration, component, contract, and end-to-end testing for distributed systems and microservices.
- Hands-on ownership of CI/CD quality pipelines, including GitHub Actions/Jenkins, quality gates, static analysis, SonarQube, and release automation.
- Experience defining test strategy, automation architecture, and quality standards for engineering teams rather than only executing tests.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to analyze defect trends, quality metrics, and engineering reliability using data.
- Proven experience mentoring engineers and driving quality culture through technical leadership and influence, and an AI-first approach/experience of using it.
